What is a ducted system?
A ducted system is an air conditioner that is capable of cooling or heating an entire house, or a selection of your current required areas at the push of a button. The indoor fan unit is mounted inside the roof space with ducts transferring the air to the different areas throughout the house or office. The outdoor compressor unit is discreetly located on the outside of the property.
Why would I choose a ducted system?
Ducted systems are the ideal choice to keep everyone happy within the household or office. Even when the family is spread out across the house, you are still able to keep everybody comfortable with a ducted system.
- Due to the design of the unit, the internal unit and components are concealed within the roof ensuring a sleek finish.
- Different areas of the house can also be controlled by zones to allow you to turn off areas you are not using, while the areas you are using are kept cool or hot.
How much would it cost?
All installations are different and customers’ requirements will vary but an indication of costs could be as little as $8,000 for a small house or $15,000 for a large house.
Are there any ongoing service requirements?
Ducted Systems are a large investment, so it’s a good idea to ensure they are kept in good running order to avoid any unwanted breakdowns. We recommend at least 1 service every 2 years
