What is a split sytem?
A split system is an air conditioner that has two components.
- The indoor fan unit which is mounted on an internal wall to cool or heat the desired area.
- The outdoor compressor unit which is discreetly located on the outside of the property.
Why would I choose a split system?
Split systems are an economical choice when you’re looking for increased comfort in a particular area of your home or office.
They can be sized precisely to cool something as small as a bedroom or as large as your main living area. Because they can be sized quite accurately, you reduce the initial installation costs but also the ongoing running costs.
How much would it cost?
All installations are different but an indication of costs could be as little as $1,300 for a bedroom or $2,500 for a large living space.
Are there any ongoing service requirements?
Just like any machine, split systems do require servicing to ensure a long and healthy lifespan. We recommend at least 1 service every 2 years.
